Concepts That i believe that are good concept arts and what makes them good concept arts.

Here are concept character designs from Paride Bertonlin. I really like the design. They are quite similar to the noir expressionism. Each selection he has brought to you something original and unique, which is very entertaining to look at. They are all posing in different positions, that matches their personalities. The character in the first box, looks like it was inspired, by a character from Commedia dell' arte - Pantalone. I believe this because the artist is born in Italy, where commedia d'll arte is originally made. The character has an inspired mask from 'pantalone '. Pantalone walks with his hips in-front, bending his back and knees, which is similar connection to the character Pantaloon in commedia dell'arte . This is a good concept character, because I automating know what the character's personality from the position of the character and what the artist wants us to know about the character.

The next square- we see a small character with massive arms, flexing. The character appears to be strong, with his big arms. However, his upper arms are thin, showing he could be an anti-hero, because of the contrast of the arms, making him look a little bit unbalance, showing a sense of clumsiness to the character, making him a lovable rodent , which make me,as the viewer have sympathy towards him, despite the eeriness of the character.
