'Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery' By Burne Hogarth

Personally rating of 5/5

Image result for 'Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery' By Burne HogarthI have taken this book out to help me with natural wrinkles on a character's top. I originally looked at this book for one my ideas, that only stayed a concept art, figure 1. This wasn't much needed for Snow queen. However, this didn't stop me from driving into the text. The imagery in this books, was absolutely beautifully drawn, with folds of wrinkles and creases,
making a statement. It demonstrate the direction of the wrinkles taking place and how to do it, giving such useful information. Personally, i didn't know much about wrinkles and would incorporated anyway, but without knowing where why it goes here. It talks about 'thrust force lines' and reason why. informing new information that makes drawing more meaningful.
Figure 1

This would have helped figure 1 and adding wrinkles in the right place of the model, as this  model did not come through, as i changed it.
This book also showed extreme expressions with full of character, matching to their personality. it was very different to see. However, it open my eyes on how expressionist i may need to make my character. It is something quite hard as my character is supposed to have a Stoic expression, so i will try to make her as stoic as possible.

Overall a good book with different demonstration, each page is a different character and learning something new.
