COLOUR SCHEME

Here are images I took when the weather in England was snowing. This inspired  my color scheme of a desaturated looking surrounding, but the snow around makes it stand out. The snow  are on top of the plants, but it doesn't  covering everything, showing the fact there were once life here, before the snow came through. this is something i want in my artwork, Even though my top is to represent broken snow. It is also to appear that is see through enough to see a person lays, only when you look closer. Within this trapped cold. This supports my poem, that if you look closer you will see a human that lays here with feelings. This is why i have added these photos..

I really like the style of this lady in the kimono, it shows the Japanese's theme with a little quirk, that the colors are giving off the impression, making it more a great experience.  The poses it very settle. However, it speaks volumes, It displays to me she is at peace and she is clam with a little bit of sassy and power, with the goddess feel she is showing. I like the colors with the the smoking pipe , as if gives off a chilled, relaxing feel that i am admiring. Very tranquil.

The position is very fascinating because shows power but a sense of peace and tranquil.
The lighting is coming as a back-light,making her have power, expressing the feeling she is a goddess geisha. The lighting her is making me think of ways on how i should make my lighting.

This is a good concept art, because the poses matches what she is trying to communicate to the audience. The outfit, shows her ethnicity and where she is from and what culture she belongs. However, giving it a different twist involving a thin pipe, to show her relaxing soul she has.

What can i incorporate into my work
- How the positions links with her personality of calm
- Colors are used to link with personality
- careful chosen lighting choice.

Different Work of Concept art and how does my model link to the 21st beauty standard.

I had a lot of ideas see figure 1  and it was hard to focus on one idea due to the many i had. However, I was mostly focused on the snow queen! due to the different it was from my ideas and i was passionate on doing a model that also talks about the beauty society, we live in the 21st Century on how boys and girls will judge from only outwards appearances.
I really enjoy linking my model with purpose. It also helps on how i can mold my character.

I wanted to do a middle age cowboy, who had a whip, made out of electricity, as if they were wires. However , This ideas, died out due to the fact Middle age hero are always seen on the American media, but also its an cliché idea. So I needed to changed to something more purpose, nevertheless it would have been a good idea.

Adding small deatil of spikes to snowflake

I have added spikes to show her power is  dangerous, the fact she can not control it.

I have done a 3D snow flak , rather being flat, it has spikes coming from around. Which is different from the typical snowflakes, this will indicate that her power is powerful it had double in power and it will only become dangerous.

Here is experimenting with colour and materials to see what will look better. and changing the design of the snow flakes, to see what I will like a twisted snowflake or not. I will only know by trying it out.

twisted snowflake, can give off an unusual shape and the colouring adds, making it look different and in some way it looks like blazes, can show that there are different ways she can used her power.

Experimenting with Colour - Snow flake Back Top

I have design a new top for my character. This is different from the front and done by hand, craving each shape by hand, giving a sense of unique that snowflakes have. I wanted to keep this authentic proprieties onto my work.
I was looking at different colours and materials I can used for my character.

I really like the effect of each one. However, what caught my eye was the this colour (Below)

Because it near to white, but has a white colour, the materials gives an ice effect, which I am enjoying! as it suits my character. However, I am keeping my clothes om my character with the red clay. But I would like to add this material to the snowflake, which is my prop.

Clothes- Broken Snowflakes not forming a snowflake,but are broken.

For her clothes, I will hand draw them on Z-brush. However Z-brush is causing problems, so i will have to do it in in a separate  file on z-brush and try and move it and put it as clothes on Alaska. I just hope it works, as it wasn't easy  to draw it. Its a lot of trying to be precised and working a lot on little details to fill in the gap. Here is an image of me filling the gaps of my top. The drawings are mostly filled with triangles, some are broken. Its supposed to represent broken snowflakes, coming together by not filling a whole snowflake, showing an immoral imbalance to Alaska. But its something she unfortunate can not control, till its broken.

Two Props- Base Crystals and Snow Flake

This is my base of my character, where she will be standing. These are her Props

First one Prop:
Crystals coming from the ground, showing the controlling mess she is in with her power.

I worked over 3ds Max  and brought it over Z brush just to work on it a bit


I did some experimentation on Z-brush making the base. I thought doing it over 3ds max will give a better result for the things i wanted.

I looked at a real life examples of how crystals are designed  and directions they are going in and trying to get the same result of scatteredness and spikes, that crystals gives. This helped for the spikes to appear more realistic, which I wanted it to have.
I did some research on the Crystals.  The photo on the right is Quartz Crystals. which is a cloudy white,with straight line done the middle. It is a healing Crystal , that produces energy. It give Alaska more of an energy build to the her power making it hard for her to control her strengths. The Quartz crystals can keep away nightmares, cause a positive on the brain and no negatives thoughts. (Stone Medicines) This is to show the fact Alaska is clam in her situation, due to this Quartz crystals that lines under her feet.

The Second Prop:

It all started over in 3Ds max. I did a line drawing to create this effect. However, When brought it over to 3ds Max, there were an issue, so I thought i  would re do the Snowflake. I made a snow flake over in Zbrush. The snowflake is a little bit spiky, to display the harsh looking snowflake this is, because her power doesn't do good, so i gave it a settle look of a harsh snowflake to match her power and what she represents as a character.
